A stamp card for the bread queue that never goes through the wash

Stand the QR by the bread rack. Regulars join with their mobile while you bag the sourdough, you press Stamp at the till, and a full card comes up as a reward code on the screen. When the hot cross buns land, tell the people who asked to hear.

Set up your cardSee how it works

Free costs no money: you agree to receive marketing from Bakebound and its partners by email and phone, and can unsubscribe any time. What that means Crumb from $23 a month, cancel any month.

Nothing to download, nothing to lose

The customer's own mobile number is the card. Scanning the counter QR brings up a box for it, and a six-digit code from us by text proves the number is theirs, which makes them a member. Next morning they say their name or number over the pastry case and you find them.

Stamped quicker than you can bag a loaf

Your members sit in one list on a phone or the till computer. Press Stamp on their row and the count goes up. When it reaches your number, a reward code shows beside the button, the card starts over, and the queue keeps moving.

News only for those who said yes

Nobody gets into your club unless they joined it themselves. On Crumb you email the members who confirmed an address; on Hearth you can text them as well. Every message carries a personal way out, and a STOP reply works.

How it works

From the first batch to the first full card

  1. Write the deal

Choose how many stamps earn the reward, anywhere from 2 to 50, and put the reward in your own words: the eighth loaf on us, or a vanilla slice after nine pies.

  2. Stand up the QR

Your join link and its QR code appear once the card is saved. Print one for the counter, tape a bigger one to the window, and post the link on your socials.

  3. Stamp the regulars

Someone in the queue scans the QR, types in the code we text to their mobile, and appears on Members. Press Stamp each visit. A full card shows a six-character reward code.

  4. Tell the club

On Crumb or Hearth, write one message to every member who has not opted out: by email on Crumb, by email or by text from your own number on Hearth.

The whole flow, step by step

Joining

They join between ordering and paying

The join page shows your bakery's name, how many stamps earn the reward and what it is. The customer types an Australian mobile, we text a six-digit code, they enter it and can add a first name and an email if they want your news. No app, no account, no password to forget. When a club on Free, the plan you hold for a marketing consent, reaches fifty, the page says so and stores nothing.

  • A code by text to every new mobile, Australian ones only
  • Name and email left for the customer to add, or not
  • The same mobile twice is one member, never two
  • Your bakery's name and reward at the top of the page

How joining works

The join page on a customer's phone, opened from the QR by the till: "Join Gullnook Pie Shop. Collect 8 stamps and get a pie or loaf on the house." The customer has typed their mobile and the six-digit code that was texted to them, and is about to press Join. The card is their mobile number; there is no app.

At the till

Find the regular, press Stamp, hand over the croissant

The Members page lists your club newest first, each row with a first name or mobile, the stamp count, any reward codes waiting and the day they joined. One press of Stamp adds one stamp. When a press reaches your target, the reward code appears beside the button and the card goes back to zero, with any extra stamp carried across.

  • Stamp from the till computer or a phone by the pie warmer
  • Two staff can stamp at once without doubling a reward
  • Mark used takes a code off the row once the reward is given
  • Opted-out members keep their stamps

Stamping at the till

The Members page: a search box for a name or mobile, then 4 example members, newest first, each with their stamp count, any reward code waiting, when they joined and a Stamp button. One member has opted out of messages and still collects stamps.

Messages

One message to the club when the hot cross buns come out

A campaign goes to everyone in your club who has not opted out. On Crumb it goes by email to members who confirmed an address. On Hearth you can also text, from a mobile number that belongs to your bakery alone and comes with the plan at no extra charge. Each message carries that member's own opt-out link, which is never trimmed to fit.

  • Email on Crumb and Hearth, texts on Hearth only
  • Your own texting number, included with Hearth
  • Nothing goes out until you press Send now
  • A STOP reply opts out of your bakery and no other

How messages work

A text campaign being written on the Campaigns page, sent from the shop's own number. It goes to 124 members: 128 joined and 4 opted out, who are skipped. On the phone it reads "Gullnook Pie Shop: Pepper steak pies are back in the warmer from Monday, and the dark rye leaves the oven at 7 on Saturday. Opt out:" and the member's own link. Text is on Hearth.

Pricing

Fifty members for a marketing consent. Crumb or Hearth when the queue grows.

Free gives fifty members the whole card for a marketing consent, not money. Crumb is $23 a month for 450 members and 450 email campaign messages. Hearth, at $64 a month, lifts the member cap, allows 650 campaign messages and adds texts from your bakery's own number. Prices are Australian dollars with no GST added, and you can stop at the end of any month.

Questions, answered

Is there an app my customers have to get?

No. A scan of the QR near the till, or a tap on your link, then an Australian mobile and the six-digit code from our text, and they are in. Their number is the card, so there is no pass to add to the phone either; next time they simply give you their name or number.

Can I put my paper-card regulars in myself?

No, and that is deliberate. Every member joins on their own and proves their number with a code, which is why you can message the club without wondering who agreed. Ask your regulars to scan on their next visit; most will while you are bagging their order.

Can customers pre-order a cake or a box of pastries through it?

No. Daily Loaf is a stamp card and a way to message your club. It takes no orders, no pre-orders and no payments from customers. Keep your phone, your order book or your own website for those.

Can I text my members?

On Hearth, yes, from a mobile number that is your bakery's alone. The number comes with Hearth at no extra charge and is set up when the plan starts; if our carrier has none that day, campaigns go by email until it arrives. Should **Get my sending number** appear on the Campaigns page, one press sets it going. On Crumb, campaigns go by email to members who confirmed an address. On Free, which you hold in return for a marketing consent, no campaigns are sent.

What does the Free plan really cost, and what is the consent?

No money. When you open the account you tick one box, which lets Bakebound and its partners email and phone you about services for growing and advertising a business. That consent is the price, and you can withdraw it whenever you like. Crumb and Hearth carry no consent at all.

Does Daily Loaf change where my bakery sits on Bakebound?

No. Bakebound ranks bakeries by how many Google reviews they have, with the rating settling ties, and nobody can pay to move. Daily Loaf sells no listing, no rank, no badge and no claim. Your place in the directory stays where the reviews put it.

Does it send birthday texts or reminders by itself?

No. Daily Loaf sends nothing on its own: no birthday messages, no come-back nudges, no reminders. A campaign leaves only when you write it and press Send now.
