Stamping at the till

The Members page is where the morning happens

Keep Members open on the phone by the register or on the till computer. Each row shows a first name or mobile, the stamp count, any reward codes waiting and the day they joined, with a Stamp button at the end. A full card turns into a reward code on the spot.

The Members page: a search box for a name or mobile, then 4 example members, newest first, each with their stamp count, any reward code waiting, when they joined and a Stamp button. One member has opted out of messages and still collects stamps.

Finding the regular

A customer tells you their first name or mobile. Type either into Find a member and press Search: part of a name will do, and so will three or more digits of the number, typed however they come out, "0491 570 106" or just "570106". Press Stamp on their row and the count rises straight away. With the box empty, the list runs newest first, 100 to a page, with Newer and Older links to reach the regulars who joined last winter.

Reading a row

Read a row from left to right. Under Member sits a first name, or the mobile for anyone who skipped the name. Stamps is how far along the card they are. A full card leaves its six-character code in Rewards waiting. Joined dates their sign-up. A member who stopped messages is marked as opted out, and they keep stamping like anyone else.

When the card fills

Hit the target and "Reward earned" comes up next to the button, together with a code that is copied into Rewards waiting as well. The card resets at the same moment, and any stamp past the target carries into the new card. Codes use letters and numbers with the look-alikes taken out, so nobody mistakes an O for a zero across the counter. A code stays tied to the reward you were offering on the day it was made.

Two staff, one rush

Stamps are recorded one at a time, so two people stamping on two devices during the 7 am rush count as two stamps, and a full card makes its code once, never twice. If someone presses twice by mistake, email hello@bakebound.com.au with the member and the time and we will take the extra one off.

What this page will not do

Adding, editing, deleting and exporting members are all left out on purpose. For a removal, email us with the member as the page shows them.

Questions about the stamping at the till

Can I take a stamp back myself?

Not from the dashboard. Email hello@bakebound.com.au with the member's name or mobile and roughly when it happened, and we will correct it.

Can a member save a reward for later?

Yes. The code stays on their row under Rewards waiting until you press Mark used on the morning they collect, so they do not need to remember it. A member can hold more than one code if they filled the card twice.

Does the page show when someone last came in?

No. It shows stamps, reward codes and the joining date, not the date of the last visit.

Stand the QR by the bread rack this week

Writing the card takes a couple of minutes. The first fifty members cost no money, only a marketing consent, and the card works in full from the first morning.
