Two different requests come up, and each is handled its own way.
Stopping messages. Every campaign carries a link that belongs to the member who received it. It opens a page naming your bakery with one button, Stop messages. Nothing happens until the button is pressed, and then the page confirms that no more messages will come from your bakery and that stamps and rewards are kept. On Hearth a reply works too: one that starts with "STOP", "unsubscribe", "opt out", "no", "cancel", "end" or "quit" opts that member out of your bakery only.
A single opt-out ends both the emails and the texts. The member's row on Members is marked, they keep every stamp and code, and every future send skips them. You cannot reverse it, and neither can the member by scanning the QR again, because the same mobile returns the same record. If a regular asks for messages back, email hello@bakebound.com.au. A regular who asks you in person to stop, with no message on their phone to tap, can still be marked: send us their name or mobile, as Members lists it, and we do it for you.
Being removed entirely. This time the member wants their number taken out of the club altogether. Members cannot delete, so email hello@bakebound.com.au with the member as the page shows them, and we remove the record. Tell the member it is done.
Never work around either request. Do not keep the number somewhere else, and do not contact them another way. They handed you that number for stamps and club news, not for anything else.
