Crumb includes 450 campaign messages a month and Hearth 650. One member receiving one campaign is one message, by email or by text. An email to 230 members uses 230.
Before a single message leaves, the whole send is set aside against your allowance. A send too big for what remains is held back whole: nothing goes, and Campaigns shows your messages used against the limit, beside a button for the next plan up. Either hang on until the first or move to a bigger plan; your draft waits for you.
Picture a cake shop on Crumb that emails its 180 confirmed members twice in the fortnight before Mother's Day. That is 360 messages, leaving 90 for the rest of the month, so a third send to all 180 would be held back until the first.
Allowances follow the calendar month on Melbourne time, and on the first you start again at nought. Unused messages do not roll over.
The sidebar on every dashboard page shows the month so far as a bar: campaign messages used against the allowance, and members against your plan's limit. The members figure is the size of the club rather than a monthly count, so it never resets.
A message that fails to deliver is recorded against the campaign as failed and is not counted as delivered.
