The card and the reward

Two fields set the whole programme

On the Loyalty card page you choose how many stamps earn the reward and write the reward itself. Press Save, and your join link and QR code appear under the form. That is the programme, ready for the morning rush.

The Loyalty card page: stamps to earn the reward set to 8, the reward "A pie or loaf on the house", a Save button, then the join link and its QR code to print for the counter.

The number and the treat

Set Stamps to earn the reward anywhere between 2 and 50; leave it untouched and the card asks for 10. The reward is a line of up to 200 characters, written the way you would say it at the counter: the eighth loaf on us, a vanilla slice after nine pies, a dozen dinner rolls for a full card. The join page shows both in one sentence, the reward in lower case, so customers know the deal before they give a number.

  • Target from 2 to 50, 10 by default
  • The treat, described by you in 200 characters or fewer
  • Shown on the join page before anyone signs up

Picking a number that suits your bakery

Think about how often a good regular comes in. A tradie who grabs a pie every weekday fills a card of 10 in a fortnight. A family that buys one sourdough every Saturday would take ten weeks to fill the same card, so 6 or 8 keeps them keen. A cake shop whose regulars come in once a month may settle on 5. Pick the number that rewards the regulars you want more of.

Changing it later

Open the page again, change a field, and press Save. Every member keeps the stamps they have. Lower the target below someone's count and their next stamp fills the card. Raise it and they have further to go. A reward code already earned keeps the reward it was earned under, so swapping a loaf for a slice never shortchanges anyone. Put a note on the counter when the deal changes.

What the card leaves out

Daily Loaf is stamps only. No tiers, no expiry dates on stamps, no second card for cakes beside the one for bread. One bakery, one card, one reward. If you are torn between two deals, run the one you can explain while handing over change.

Questions about the card and the reward

Do stamps go stale like yesterday's bread?

No. A stamp stays on the member's card until it counts towards a reward. If you want a deadline, write it on the counter sign; the software does not enforce one.

Can I run one card for bread and another for cakes?

No. Each bakery has one card. Choose the deal that covers most of your regulars' visits, or make the rule broad enough for both, such as one stamp per visit over $10.

Can the reward change with the seasons?

Yes. Change it on the Loyalty card page whenever you like. Codes already earned keep the old reward, and new codes carry the new one.

Stand the QR by the bread rack this week

Writing the card takes a couple of minutes. The first fifty members cost no money, only a marketing consent, and the card works in full from the first morning.
